As I said before, Miss Roo is a heavy wetter and sleeps for at least 11 hours at a go. She is 2 years old and no where near potty training. So, we do what we can. I put her in a Sustainablebabyish or Sloob fitted the night before last. It was a snapless fitted. This was the second night with that particular diaper. The first night, I just used the 2 boosters that were included. It was a disaster! Totally soaked by morning, it was a pain trying to figure out the Snappi. FAIL. But, I tried again. I added an extra booster, used a different cover and mastered the Snappi. This morning, DRY. Yippee!! The diaper was soaked through, but at least her jammies were completely dry. Woohoo! And after fighting with the Snappi last night, I think I have it figured out. We have also done another night in our Goodmamas. I always think there is no way they will work. The fit is super tiny on my huge toddler, but in the morning, she is dry. She does get really mad when I cover up her pretty diapers with a cover. Its funny. I don't think she understands the whole cover idea, since we normally use pocket diapers. But, she doesn't have the major issues with prefolds, maybe because I lay them in the cover and it goes on like her pockets. Still, toddler diapering is an interesting adventure. I am still collecting my newborn stash for Bitty Babe. So far, I have 4 tiny fitted diapers, 18 newborn prefolds, 12 infant prefolds, 5 small covers. I also have 12 Rumparooz OS pockets. I was going to get some Lil' Joeys, but since Miss Roo was so big at birth, I don't think they will fit for long enough. So, I got some RaRz and I really think they will work well. Oh, I am so excited to use cloth on a bitty baby. We didn't start on Miss Roo until she was 14 months old. I think this is all for this part of Night Diapers. More to come at a later date.Riggslaceyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17396724363232567203noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9125206886044233972.post-55107656838692107632011-03-22T07:18:00.000-07:002011-03-22T07:31:50.338-07:00Overnight Diapers part 1So, we have been cloth diapering for about a year now and mostly have everything figured out. Nighttime is a different animal. Miss Roo typically sleeps 10-12 hours and is a heavy wetter. I have tried a pocket diaper stuffed with a microfiber insert and a trifolded hemp insert with no luck. I had finally resorted to a Rainforest babies hemp prefold with a Ozy Cozy toddler sized prefold wrapped around it with a cover over the top. This does work, but its so freaking bulky that I hated to put it on the princess too much before bed. I have been on the lookout for another solution.

I came across Spot's Corner, which is a place for mamas to sell their gently used diapers to other mamas. There were tons! I went a little crazy and became totally obsessed. I really only bought 4, so its not as bad as it sounds. I bought 3 Goodmama fitteds and one Sustainablebabyish or Sbish OBV snapless fitted. I soaked them overnight in Rockin' Green and washed them, anxious to see if one of these would be our new nighttime solution. As soon as they were dry, which seemed to take a lot longer than my pocket inserts or hemp, I put Miss Roo to bed in a Goodmama fitted with a Wonderwrap over the top. Then off to bed we went. The next morning--DRY. Oh my gosh. I opened up that cover and the fitted was completely soaked, but her jammies were dry. Okay, I thought, we will try it again and see if maybe this was just a fluke. So last night, we tried it again. A Goodmama fitted with a Wonderwrap cover over the top. And she drank a ton before bed. I thought there was no way she would be dry this morning. But she was!! Again the diaper was soaked, but nothing else was. I have 3 of these now and they may be our solution.

I do have a couple of things I don't really like about them. First off, they need a cover. Miss Roo doesn' t understand that her pretty diaper has to be covered, so its a bit of a fight every night. Second, the rise isn't very high and since Roo is so tall, they don't fit real great. But, they do snap and she doesn't seem uncomfortable or in pain from them. Third, and finally, they do take a lot longer to dry. I guess its cause all the layers, but also the snap in soakers take forever. At least 2 cycles in the dryer, and sometimes have to hang the rest of the way dry. Really, this isn't a problem, since I have 3 but it kind of annoys me.

I have tried my Sbish fitted for one night, but I don't think I have given it a fair shot yet, so I am going to hold off reviewing it until then.Riggslaceyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17396724363232567203noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9125206886044233972.post-91832283364984319882011-03-21T07:48:00.000-07:002011-03-21T08:21:23.226-07:00Week 23Well, we are more than halfway done with the baby baking. On Friday, I will be 23 weeks. We set a date for the C-section and have picked a name. I moved Miss Roo to the bigger room, and got her twin bed set up, with new Dora bedding. She still prefers the crib converted to the toddler bed, but we have time to work on that. I have got my newborn cloth diaper stash worked out, I think. I have a dozen and a half nb prefolds, a dozen infant prefolds, 5 small covers and a few nb fitteds. I also sold off some of the diapers we were not reaching for, and got 8 new Rumparooz. I received 3 over the weekend and the other 5 should be here tomorrow. So total, I should have 12. These diapers have the shortest rise of any OS pocket, so I think they will be great for the nb stage. We will probably use the pfs and covers at home and save the RaR for going out. The great thing about the RaR, well, 2 great things, is they still fit Miss Roo, at 28 months, 37 inches tall and 34 pounds and they have these awesome double gussets to hold EBF poo in. Super excited to try them on a newborn.

We also had a baby shower for my SIL this weekend. MIL, GMIL and I went in and got her 12 brand new Kawaii pocket diapers. She was thrilled!! She was hugging them and went on and on about it. I had also got her 3 other new diapers, and she ordered another 3. So 18 new diapers, and she probably had another 6 or 8 ones I had sold her. The shower also gave me the opportunity to show off some of my diapers and explain how they worked. People were grossed out at first, and I heard from several, including a pregnant cousin, that they couldn't do that cause they work full time. Haha, I put that myth down quickly. I told them I worked full time, commuted another 10 hours a week and I did it. I said that it really only adds 3 loads a week, which is nothing compared to what other people in the house create (um, DH). They were impressed about how cute they were and how easily they went on the baby. Of course, I had some cute ones with me, so that always helps. I told everyone who was thinking about another baby to get with me if they were thinking about it. We also talked about how inexpensive they are, and how long you can use they for. Pretty fun times, at least for me.

Otherwise, things are pretty good. B got a job and started last week. He is really liking it, which I know makes him feel better. He is finally on an anti-depressent/anxiety med that is helping, so he wants to take it. He seems generally better. He has been sleeping again, helping more, and talking about things. In another week or so, he starts some really intensive therapy to help him deal with the PTSD, so that will be interesting. I am a little nervous that it will bring up stuff he doesn't want to talk about, but its supposed to also teach him how to deal and function with it. It sounds like a great program, but I guess we will see.

Nothing else really going on. Its finally spring, so we have been leaving windows open and Miss Roo never wants to be inside. I had to bribe her to come in and nap yesterday. The babysitter was bribing the kids today. She said if they are good, they get to play outside later. Its supposed to be around 75 degrees today. And sunny. Always feel better when the sun is shining.

God is so great in my life. I hope I can continue to serve Him.Riggslaceyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17396724363232567203noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9125206886044233972.post-5196087407901857032011-02-28T12:06:00.000-08:002011-02-28T12:15:01.990-08:00Last day of the MonthWell, this has been a great day so far. Miss Roo and I got up on time to get to work and daycare, but Roo had a slight fever. B had an interview, so I had to stay home. But thats ok, didn't use gas and got to spend the day with her. B's interview went great, he is offically employed again! Its not anything great, just working for a lawn fertilizer place, but ITS A JOB!! He starts as soon as they get his background check and drug test back. Hopefully next week. He then went and talked to the city prosecutor about the legal issues. Pretty much, he was told it will NOT go on his record. And not to worry about it. There is a little more to it, but its complicated and pretty much relates to his good relationship with the PA's office.
Otherwise, the sun is shining, I was able to pay all the bills we had due right now today with B's last check from the Sheriff's office. And we still have my check tomorrow, a Money Order we bought for a shed that we are not getting and all of our tax return.
Alright, all in all, I think I have done pretty good this month. Its been rough, but I keep trying to find the good things that are happening. Yeah, B got arrested and resigned, but he is getting treatment for all his mental issues. He is happier than I have seen him in a while. Miss Roo is loving all this extra time with her daddy. She can't get enough of him. I am not as stressed as I thought I would be. This was a good month, colored by some bad that lead to more good.

God is Great! Thanks to Him for everything.Riggslaceyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17396724363232567203noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9125206886044233972.post-70155052275001741712011-02-23T09:54:00.000-08:002011-02-23T10:03:39.453-08:00Updates on EverythingThings have just been going right along and super busy and I haven't been as good as I would like about updating, so here is the last 2 weeks.

B resigned from the SO on Valentine's day. It was a lot sadder than we thought it would be. Its like a whole chapter of his and my lives gone. When I got home that day, there was no sheriff's car in our driveway. Pretty much, this is the first time since we have lived in this house that this has happened. But, everyone was super nice to him while it was going on and after, when they picked up his stuff. On the plus side, I do not have to worry everytime he puts on his uniform that he won't come home. He has been cooking and cleaning and helping so much with Miss Roo. Its been great. Like a mini vaca for me. Well, not really, but still a huge load off.

We had our 18 week check-up. Everything is still good. I am down a total of 11 pounds so far. Doctor is not worried at all. Baby has a heart beat of 155. I am convinced its a girl, but we find out for sure on March 2.

We moved Miss Roo to a toddler bed. She has been doing great! I can't believe it. She has slept like 4 nights and took 2 naps. She goes right in, we kiss her and make sure she has all her friends and close the door. The only issue we have had with her is that during the second nap, she woke up, got her basket full of rash creams, lotions, brushes, etc and took it to bed. She managed to get a sample size of CJ's open and used the whole thing. It got everywhere-her, Harree, the bed, the sheets. Oh, well, lesson learned.

I took a bunch of Miss Roo's outgrown shoes to a consignment sale last weekend and made almost $130! Super excited. So, most went into checking, but I did use some to get a Boba carrier from Mami's and Papi's! This was really the only thing I can think that we will need for the new baby. Unless its a boy, then we are going to need some non-pink clothes. But we will know that soon enough.

I guess that's really all. I am trying my best to look at the positives. I am mostly okay with things, just somewhat concerned about money. But, God has provided for us so far and I do believe he will continue.Riggslaceyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17396724363232567203noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9125206886044233972.post-8443611465143498962011-02-10T19:43:00.000-08:002011-02-10T19:57:02.706-08:00UpdatesSo, its been a few days since I updated. Things are going. We went down to the VA today for the psych appt and ended up getting in to see B's regular doctor too. He was offically diagonsed with PTSD. We knew thats what was mostly wrong, but its nice to have the diagonses. He will be getting more appointments for alcohol abuse, the PTSD, and job counseling. So, that was a good part of today. It was interesting taking the toddler. Unfortunitly, this meant no nap. But, Miss Roo did awesome. She finally broke down after about 4 hours while we were waiting for B's prescriptions. I took her to the car and we watched Dora. Then we drove around for a little bit and tried to get stuck in the 2 feet of snow.

Oh, yeah. We are still fighting with record amounts of snow we got Wednesday morning. At our house, we got about 25 inches. Its crazy. Our Dixie Dog can hardly be seen in the snow. She doesn't really like it. However, Baylee, our yellow lab, thinks it is the coolest thing ever. It is so much fun to watch them play in it. I got some excersise digging out the car so we could get to the VA today. It took about 20 minutes. But the car does awesome. We had no issues, but we drove pretty slow and steady.

Another great thing that has happened since the last time I updated. I won a diaper from Joana Weber, the Doopsy lady. So excited! I have never won a diaper and I think these ones will be great for the new baby. I also got some covers I bought off Fluff Swappers. They were from a lady in Canada. Some Blueberry OS covers. I had bought 2 from her, because I didn't really have the money for all three. When I opened them, there were 3. So I emailed her to see what happened, and told her I would pay for the extra one. She said, no, she just put it in there for me. So sweet. Really made my day today. And the covers look like they are in great shape. Good neutral colors and they have double gussets. Can't wait to use them tomorrow.

Oh, one last thing and I better go to bed. B had a job interview the other night! Just a phone one, but they said someone would be in touch. It was with an armored car company. And our friend text him tonight and said he may have a temporary job building fences. But it pays cash. So, it would be okay. I wish his back would be better before he started that physical labor, but we will do what we gotta do.

I want to take a minute to thank God for everything. Yes, this is going to be rough, but He has already shown us that things will be okay. We are working on a better relationship with each other and as a family.Riggslaceyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17396724363232567203noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9125206886044233972.post-31877237541957857272011-02-08T13:46:00.000-08:002011-02-08T13:54:09.253-08:00Second weekWell, some good news yesterday. B met with a friend, who is going to help him some different parts of his life, including his resume. He was given homework, which included reading his bible and talking to me. He also met with a pastor friend, who prayed with him. He said it was the most positive day he had had in a long time. He also got a call last in the evening, which turned out to be a job interview. Just a phone one, but still. It was awesome.

Its still rough, trying to go day to day. But we are figuring out what has to change, what we can do without. We have decided that B will wait out the internal, and hopefully he can go to them, and resign after. That way he keeps his credentials and if the charge is dropped, he can possibly go back into law enforcement if he so wishes.

I am still trying to find the good in everything. Like last night Roo had a fever, so she could not go to daycare today. Thankfully, B had to be home anyway, so I didn't have to use sick time or take unpaid time. That was a very good thing. Also, trying to remember funny things that happened that night, like asking one of the officers to pick our Dixie dog up so M could get her dog out to the car. Or handing that officer my gun that I keep in my dresser and his eyes getting huge, because he expected a small gun and I handed him a .45 caliber 1911.

So, we are making it. Big changes are in store for us, but that isn't nessessarily a bad thing. Keep praying and look to God. He will provide us with what we need.

"We never know how strong we are, until strong is the only choice we have"-UnknownRiggslaceyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17396724363232567203noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9125206886044233972.post-43670156690847886132011-02-07T07:16:00.000-08:002011-02-07T09:54:47.878-08:00First WeekendSo, this is rough. I don't even know where to start with it. Its probably going to take me some time to write everything out, but I need to do it. Friday night, B decided to drink rum. A lot of it. This isn't terribly unusual, but around 11 pm, he came in to tell me he was going to meet someone to get something for his back. I tried to keep him home, but physically, I couldn't. So he left. I began to text him to make sure he made it. He said he did, and was waiting on something. So I waited some more. I then started texting him again. No answer. Luckily I had the number to the guy he was meeting and I called him. He said they were at a bar and he would send him home. I gave it a little longer and tried B again. No answer. So I called the guy again and heard screaming when he picked up. He finally was able to talk and said B took off walking. Well, we had gotten about a foot of snow and it was in the lower 20's. So, I called my friend M and she came in to help me since B had the car. On her way, she swung through the last area we knew he was in. We were on the phone and she said I see police lights. I knew then it was bad. She hung up with me for about 15 minutes and called back. First thing she said was "He's okay". Long story short, he decided to lay in the middle of the road and a car sweaved to avoid hitting him. The police were called and when they arrived, he got somewhat physical with them. They had to arrest him. I guess I should mention he is a deputy sheriff in our county. So, I get a call from the sargent on duty, who is a friend and former co-worker, and he explains whats happening and what they are trying to prevent. I tell Sgt P that I understand, just keep me updated.

Around 3:30 or so, they brought him home. They thought they could release him to me, as he was somewhat more sober and a little calmer. Sgt. P explained he was not overly comfortable, but would stay until he either fell asleep or we could get him to the VA Pysch unit. I went into the bedroom to try to talk to him and he was out of his mind. After a short time alone with him, Sgt P and the other officer came into the bedroom and asked me to leave. They spoke with him for a while, and the other officer came out and said that they were all going for a ride to see if things could be calmed down. Then Sgt P came out and said, I will arrest him again if I have to. I told him again that I understood. They left. About an hour later, I text Sgt P. He said they were almost to the VA. He called me a short time later and said that B had asked for help and said he wanted to go. I thanked them again.

B called around 7 am and said he was in the Pysch unit and didn't really know why. He said the officers had just left him. He still sounded pretty drunk. I said, just stay there, see what they say. We hung up. He called again around 9, and sounded a lot more sober, but scared. Things were starting to set in for him. I told him I needed to shower and do a few things, then I would be on my way. I had decided that if he wasn't agreeing to treatment or seemed like a danger to himself, he was staying there. I got down there about noon and he was okay. Upset, but mostly sobered up and realizing what he had done and what it meant.

So, we met with the doctor and she explained a little about what was going to happen. She asked me some questions about things that were going on, and what my concerns were. I told her that he needed help and we couldn't fall through the cracks again. She said she was the head of the department and that would not happen. She explained what meds she was prescibing and how they probably were not a permanent solution, but would do until he saw the additional doctors. I told her I wasn't concerned about him coming home, as long as he got follow up treatment. I felt better about things when we left the hospital.

We met later on that evening with his Sgt. He is now on paid suspendion, pending an internal investigation. The only way now that he will keep his job is if he can claim it was related to mental illness, which it is. We just won't know until the internal is done.

I spoke with B a little bit ago. He has psych appointments Wednesday, which is great. He is meeting with a good friend soon to get some advice, which is also good. There are good things coming out of this, I just couldn't see them before. He is going to get help for the PTSD and alcohol, which is a big positive. He is realizing things have to change, which is good. I am really doing my best to be postive.Riggslaceyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17396724363232567203noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9125206886044233972.post-4498431254693480682011-02-04T15:18:00.000-08:002011-02-04T15:22:38.808-08:00Day 3Well, I was stuck at home again today. But, it was a good thing, cause the snow started about 10 am and hasn't stopped. So, if I would have gone to work, I would have had to turn right around and come back. And, we were able to get our taxes done. We didn't get as much as we had hoped, but pretty good considering my tax stuff at work was filled out wrong and nothing was taken out. So, not complaining at all.

We have probably gotten about 6 inches of snow today. That may be the most in several decades for this area. And its still falling. The roads were not too bad earlier when we got out, but I guess they are getting worse the later it gets. Glad I am home in my nice cozy house, with DH cooking us dinner.

All in all, another pretty good day. Big plans for tomorrow include trying to get milk. Oh yeah, its an exciting life.Riggslaceyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17396724363232567203noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9125206886044233972.post-31459121864221269842011-02-03T21:11:00.000-08:002011-02-03T21:15:41.648-08:00Day 2Today was day 2 of the M & P's happiness challenge. It was a pretty darn good day. Spent it with DH and Miss Roo again, because the office was closed again. On the plus side of the office being closed, found out that all county offices were closed, so I got paid to stay home! Yay me! But, tomorrow the court house is supposed to be open, so no pay, but I have a sick day I can use. Plus, I just sold a Mommy Necklace to a marine wife, so that is extra money. And I am still not spending money on gas, so thats great.

We had pizza for dinner, which rocks this preggo's world. All in all, a pretty nice day. The sun was out, spent the day with my family, which we never get enough time for. Watched some movies with Hubs, so that was nice. Just a good, uplifting day.Riggslaceyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17396724363232567203noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9125206886044233972.post-12784533139043661382011-02-02T08:16:00.000-08:002011-02-02T08:23:08.976-08:00Mami and Papi's Love and Happiness challengeSo, this month the challenge over at Mami's and Papi's is to find happiness in everything. Basically, when life hands you lemons, make lemonade and have a party, don't sit and sulk. I am absolutly going to try my best to be most positive with everything. Included in this challenge is a diary. Well, part of my own personal challenge is to use this blog as my diary. I have not been the best about updating, so that is something I am going to work on.

First thing to be uplifting myself about-an unpaid snow day. Okay, yeah, no pay. But, I am not spending money on gas or to buy lunch. And I get to spend a whole day with Miss Roo. We had blueberry pancakes for breakfast, which I never have time to make during the week. My BFF is coming over for dinner, which again I don't have time to make during the week. And we are nice and toasty warm in the house, not freezing out in the 5 degree weather. So, upaid snow day is a good thing. And B got a little extra for working yesterday because of the snow. Oh, and I sold some trainers that don't fit Miss Roo. And a Mai Tai. So really, almost made enough today to cover it. Yay for snow days!

I am going to try to update every day with the good things that happened. Try to keep me honest! God Bless you all.Riggslaceyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17396724363232567203noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9125206886044233972.post-75732594659959501052010-11-22T08:04:00.001-08:002010-11-22T08:10:40.242-08:00Still not updating like I should . . .So, as you might have noticed, I am not updating like I should. No real excuses, as our internet at home is fixed, I just can't get motivated to get it done. Its crazy working 40 hrs a week, commuting another 10, and trying to chase a toddler. And guess what? We are going to be adding to the mix next July! I am so excited, but scared. We haven't told anyone yet. I go to the doctor tomorrow to start with the prenatal stuff, and we have a shirt for Roo that says "I'm going to be a big sister". We are going to have her wear it into the B's parents house Wednesday night when we go down. I think I am going to text a pic of it to my mom and sister after my appt tomorrow. We will see. So far, no real sickness. Some things are totally grossing me out, just like last time. And my boobs are killing me. They seem huge too, just like with Roo. I am really hoping for another girl, since I have 9807 pcs of girls clothes. One thing I am super excited about is cloth diapering a newborn. I started with Roo when she was about 14 months, so I never got to snap down the rises, or deal with BF poo. I just hope between now and then I can convince B that it is a good idea. I added it up yesterday and in just the first 6 months, we could save at least $300. I think I am going to tell him if we can do this, we can save that money for a horse trailer. Or a saddle. That may convince him.

Anyways, don't tell my family! Its a secret until tomorrow! I will update after the holidays to let you all know how it went.Riggslaceyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17396724363232567203noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9125206886044233972.post-71966386754096952392010-11-10T12:53:00.000-08:002010-11-10T13:06:57.916-08:00BadI have been terrible about updating this lately. I have been so freakin' busy and our internet at home is not working correctly so I have to do all my internet stuff at work or on my phone. But, I will try to be better again.

Did you see the segment on CBS about cloth vs disposable? I could never get it to pull up but from I read, it was somewhat biased. The "doctor" they interviewed pretty much said cloth was bad for babies. Really? Cotton isn't bad for adults, what makes it bad for babies? But, on the flip side, the reporter who was on the segment, is trying cloth for 30 days. A bunch of different companies have donated diapers to her and she says she is commited to it. Her blog is mommybeta. Look it up and lets all help her succeed!Riggslaceyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17396724363232567203noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9125206886044233972.post-44843880293182176772010-11-10T12:50:00.000-08:002010-11-10T12:53:17.622-08:00Loosing weight part duexSo, Mami's and Papi's, one of my fav diaper stores, is doing their Nov/Dec challenge. It involves logging into myfitnesspal.com and logging what you eat, when you excersise. Basically, we are trying to stay fit during the holidays. I haven't been doing very good. But today, I walked for 45 minutes and got an extra 700 calories. Yay! We are all trying to encourage each other and help stay on track. Come on over and join us!Riggslaceyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17396724363232567203noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9125206886044233972.post-44647214972513654492010-10-22T11:58:00.000-07:002010-10-22T12:02:01.301-07:00Dora The ExplorerSo, I am planning Miss Roo's 2nd birthday bash and decided to go with Dora. She is a favorite right now and Roo gets so excited to see her. So we are getting bright colored plates, cups, tablecloth and napkins, as well as a Dora centerpiece and some fun totes for gifts. Probably only going to have 3 little kids, a couple of bigger kids and the aunts and uncles, but it will be fun anyways. I will probably just make her cake again, save a few bucks that way. But I am very excited. Last year, she just didn't care about her birthday, but this year, it will be way entertaining. I know she will want the gifts and loves cake, so I can't wait.Riggslaceyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17396724363232567203noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9125206886044233972.post-87958186446615461122010-10-13T08:13:00.000-07:002010-10-13T08:20:35.392-07:00Busy BusyWell, it seems like lately everything is busier and busier. I am trying to get ready for Christmas and Roo's birthday. I think I am almost done with her gifts, but only maybe halfway with the rest of everybody. This weekend is the big craft fairs, including War Eagle. I am very excited. Its supposed to be beautiful. I think I can get a few more gifts bought and maybe a couple of people done.

My sissy told me last week she is PREGGERS! I am so happy for her. She has also expressed interest in cloth diapering. I can't believe it. I think I am going to seperate the ones I bought for SIL out and give some to sissy. I have bunches and it would still be great gifts for both of them. I may order some Rockin Green from Mami's and Papi's for both of them too. Love Mami's and Papi's. They have free shipping on almost everything and excellent customer service.

What else has been going on? Well, we are still TTC#2, but I just don't think this is our month again. I took a test the other day and it had half of a positive line, but none of the others have showed anything. I do know that I am bloated and my boobs HURT. Like I can't wait at night to get the bra off kind of hurt. AF is due around the 19th, so hopefully know then.

Alright, back to work.Riggslaceyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17396724363232567203noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9125206886044233972.post-39979453480095065882010-10-05T13:33:00.000-07:002010-10-05T13:36:33.268-07:00New BumGenius Prints!Ack, my previous post disappeared! I am so excited about the bumgenius prints. I love the new 4.0's with snaps and was trying to wait and see what kind of prints they came out with. Well, I like them. They are kinda funky and gender neutral. Go check them out!Riggslaceyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17396724363232567203noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9125206886044233972.post-70768216091237105172010-10-04T09:49:00.001-07:002010-10-04T09:57:35.783-07:00What a weekend!Whew, I am kind of glad its Monday. How sad is that? DH has been hurting all weekend from his TMJ and passed out and fell on Saturday. Yay us, we got to spend all afternoon in the ER. But, nothing life threatening. He is going to see his doctor and dentist today about this.

On top of this, we are all sick. Roo, DH and me have a cold. Nothing major, just a seasonal thing, but we are all blah. Yesterday we did nothing. Well, I did laundry, but that is it. We laid around, watched TV and cuddled. Kind of nice. I did manage to strip my diapers. The covers weren't too bad, but the inserts. Wow. Smell of urine right out of the dryer. So I took all the micro terry inserts out and ran them through with some bleach. And extra hot rinses. Finally, clean. And they are all fluffy and stain free. I just ran the covers and pockets through with some of my fav, Rockin' Green. They have been awesome lately. No repelling, no stink and no stains. Yay for RnG.

I have been selling stuff on Ebay for a little while now. Mostly little things that I have bought for dirt cheap at yard sales or estate sales. So far, I have made almost $100! I can't believe it. I just listed about 30 more things, so hopefully it gives us a couple extra hundred. That would be awesome. DH makes fun of me, but I think he will stop when he realizes just how much I am making.

No real news on the baby front. I should be ovulating today or tomorrow, so hopefully we can mesh our schedules and take some time to work on this project. I really think if it doesn't work this month or next, we might want to wait a little bit. I really don't want another Christmas baby or to be huge in the late summer. Its just way too hot here. But we'll see. If its God's will, it will happen.Riggslaceyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17396724363232567203noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9125206886044233972.post-66581284565243534652010-09-30T13:51:00.000-07:002010-09-30T14:06:39.717-07:00Drug AddictsSo, did everyone know that once who get flagged as a doctor hopper, you are pretty much screwed? This happened to Darling Husband today. He is NOT a doctor hopper or a pill popper, but has had a few different things recently that have required pain medicine. So, he calls today to get a refill and goes in to the medicine and is told, nope, sorry, no drugs for you. Awesome. Now, keep in mind, he is a deputy sheriff and is drug tested and has to stay clean for his career. But, try telling that to anybody. Or for that matter, getting anyone to help you figure this out. And now, because he has been called a dope head and liar, he is so far down in the dumps, I am worried about him. So what can we do? Probably nothing, because if we put up a stink, the DEA gets involved, which gets his department involved. Awesome again.

On the flip side of him being accused of being a drug addict, he is probably going to be a narcotics officer sometime in the near future. So, this will mean more money for our family, most nights and weekends together and way more stress for the mama. No wonder I have so many issues.

Oh well. On a happier note, the weather has been awesome this week. And I have won almost $2 to my favorite store, Mami's and Papi's! They do giveaways all the time on their Facebook page and its so much fun. Really like a family.

Alright. Time to get off here and think about picking Roo up.Riggslaceyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17396724363232567203noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9125206886044233972.post-32534593675419004262010-09-29T13:50:00.000-07:002010-09-29T13:51:51.533-07:00What Mama Wants GiveawayWhat Mama Wants is doing a 200 fan giveaway. I am sick of having to worry all the time about money. I am sick of fighting with my husband. I am sick of him doing nothing unless I leave him a note. I am sick of being the only one to do anything around the house. I am just so damn sick of it. I wish we had more money. I wish we spent less money. I wish I could figure out a way to pay stuff off and save more. I just don't know how to do it. He gets mad at me for nagging him about eating out everyday and then says I spend so much money and its not fair. Does he realize that I might spend $20 a week, where he is spending upwards of $50? And I take clothes to consignment, sell stuff on ebay and craigslist, recycle cans. I do my best to pay for my little bit of yard saleing. He doesn't. He gets mad at me cause I tell him we are broke all the time. But he doesn't understand that maybe I want some help with this. I have all the responsibility and he just does whatever. He never has to worry about money or the baby or the house. It must be nice to have someone else take care of everything. When I do try to include him, he gets mad, saying I don't tell him, I spend like crazy. I could just scream. I am so done with this.

Sorry about the rant. Had to get this off my chest.Riggslaceyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17396724363232567203noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9125206886044233972.post-25868699923822931322010-09-21T12:55:00.000-07:002010-09-21T13:01:17.181-07:00SickUgh, so I am so sorry I haven't been on here lately. We have had the flu in the house and I have been too tired taking care of everybody to type anything extra. Baby girl and hubs were both sick. Luckily, we seem to be on the mend, I just hope I don't get it.

Other than that, its nearing the end of yard sale season. On one hand, I am sad because its so much fun. On the flip side, I am so done with getting up early on Saturday and running all over town. I did find a lot of really fun stuff and completely redid my bedroom.

I have decided to sell off all of my sized diapers and just keep the one size ones. This is in preperation for the next baby, which will hopefully be concieved soon. I have a bunch listed on Ebay, now if only they would sell. My stash is still quite large, but not nearly as out of control as it was with the sized diapers.

This was not our month for concieving. I don't know why I thought we could have it happen the first month off birth control. Maybe cause BIL and SIL were able to. We just don't have enough of a matching schedule to make it work. Hopefully next month. I am finally getting the Basal Temp thing down, so maybe we can work something out.

Alright, off for now.Riggslaceyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17396724363232567203noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9125206886044233972.post-75886906177109390092010-09-10T07:07:00.000-07:002010-09-10T07:09:47.051-07:00Free Diapers At Cotton BabiesThis week has been Free Diaper Week at Cotton Babies.
