Still not updating like I should . . .

So, as you might have noticed, I am not updating like I should. No real excuses, as our internet at home is fixed, I just can't get motivated to get it done. Its crazy working 40 hrs a week, commuting another 10, and trying to chase a toddler. And guess what? We are going to be adding to the mix next July! I am so excited, but scared. We haven't told anyone yet. I go to the doctor tomorrow to start with the prenatal stuff, and we have a shirt for Roo that says "I'm going to be a big sister". We are going to have her wear it into the B's parents house Wednesday night when we go down. I think I am going to text a pic of it to my mom and sister after my appt tomorrow. We will see. So far, no real sickness. Some things are totally grossing me out, just like last time. And my boobs are killing me. They seem huge too, just like with Roo. I am really hoping for another girl, since I have 9807 pcs of girls clothes. One thing I am super excited about is cloth diapering a newborn. I started with Roo when she was about 14 months, so I never got to snap down the rises, or deal with BF poo. I just hope between now and then I can convince B that it is a good idea. I added it up yesterday and in just the first 6 months, we could save at least $300. I think I am going to tell him if we can do this, we can save that money for a horse trailer. Or a saddle. That may convince him.

Anyways, don't tell my family! Its a secret until tomorrow! I will update after the holidays to let you all know how it went.

Bad

I have been terrible about updating this lately. I have been so freakin' busy and our internet at home is not working correctly so I have to do all my internet stuff at work or on my phone. But, I will try to be better again.

Did you see the segment on CBS about cloth vs disposable? I could never get it to pull up but from I read, it was somewhat biased. The "doctor" they interviewed pretty much said cloth was bad for babies. Really? Cotton isn't bad for adults, what makes it bad for babies? But, on the flip side, the reporter who was on the segment, is trying cloth for 30 days. A bunch of different companies have donated diapers to her and she says she is commited to it. Her blog is mommybeta. Look it up and lets all help her succeed!

Loosing weight part duex

So, Mami's and Papi's, one of my fav diaper stores, is doing their Nov/Dec challenge. It involves logging into myfitnesspal.com and logging what you eat, when you excersise. Basically, we are trying to stay fit during the holidays. I haven't been doing very good. But today, I walked for 45 minutes and got an extra 700 calories. Yay! We are all trying to encourage each other and help stay on track. Come on over and join us!

Dora The Explorer

So, I am planning Miss Roo's 2nd birthday bash and decided to go with Dora. She is a favorite right now and Roo gets so excited to see her. So we are getting bright colored plates, cups, tablecloth and napkins, as well as a Dora centerpiece and some fun totes for gifts. Probably only going to have 3 little kids, a couple of bigger kids and the aunts and uncles, but it will be fun anyways. I will probably just make her cake again, save a few bucks that way. But I am very excited. Last year, she just didn't care about her birthday, but this year, it will be way entertaining. I know she will want the gifts and loves cake, so I can't wait.

Busy Busy

Well, it seems like lately everything is busier and busier. I am trying to get ready for Christmas and Roo's birthday. I think I am almost done with her gifts, but only maybe halfway with the rest of everybody. This weekend is the big craft fairs, including War Eagle. I am very excited. Its supposed to be beautiful. I think I can get a few more gifts bought and maybe a couple of people done.

My sissy told me last week she is PREGGERS! I am so happy for her. She has also expressed interest in cloth diapering. I can't believe it. I think I am going to seperate the ones I bought for SIL out and give some to sissy. I have bunches and it would still be great gifts for both of them. I may order some Rockin Green from Mami's and Papi's for both of them too. Love Mami's and Papi's. They have free shipping on almost everything and excellent customer service.

What else has been going on? Well, we are still TTC#2, but I just don't think this is our month again. I took a test the other day and it had half of a positive line, but none of the others have showed anything. I do know that I am bloated and my boobs HURT. Like I can't wait at night to get the bra off kind of hurt. AF is due around the 19th, so hopefully know then.

Alright, back to work.

What a weekend!

Whew, I am kind of glad its Monday. How sad is that? DH has been hurting all weekend from his TMJ and passed out and fell on Saturday. Yay us, we got to spend all afternoon in the ER. But, nothing life threatening. He is going to see his doctor and dentist today about this.

On top of this, we are all sick. Roo, DH and me have a cold. Nothing major, just a seasonal thing, but we are all blah. Yesterday we did nothing. Well, I did laundry, but that is it. We laid around, watched TV and cuddled. Kind of nice. I did manage to strip my diapers. The covers weren't too bad, but the inserts. Wow. Smell of urine right out of the dryer. So I took all the micro terry inserts out and ran them through with some bleach. And extra hot rinses. Finally, clean. And they are all fluffy and stain free. I just ran the covers and pockets through with some of my fav, Rockin' Green. They have been awesome lately. No repelling, no stink and no stains. Yay for RnG.

I have been selling stuff on Ebay for a little while now. Mostly little things that I have bought for dirt cheap at yard sales or estate sales. So far, I have made almost $100! I can't believe it. I just listed about 30 more things, so hopefully it gives us a couple extra hundred. That would be awesome. DH makes fun of me, but I think he will stop when he realizes just how much I am making.

No real news on the baby front. I should be ovulating today or tomorrow, so hopefully we can mesh our schedules and take some time to work on this project. I really think if it doesn't work this month or next, we might want to wait a little bit. I really don't want another Christmas baby or to be huge in the late summer. Its just way too hot here. But we'll see. If its God's will, it will happen.

Drug Addicts

So, did everyone know that once who get flagged as a doctor hopper, you are pretty much screwed? This happened to Darling Husband today. He is NOT a doctor hopper or a pill popper, but has had a few different things recently that have required pain medicine. So, he calls today to get a refill and goes in to the medicine and is told, nope, sorry, no drugs for you. Awesome. Now, keep in mind, he is a deputy sheriff and is drug tested and has to stay clean for his career. But, try telling that to anybody. Or for that matter, getting anyone to help you figure this out. And now, because he has been called a dope head and liar, he is so far down in the dumps, I am worried about him. So what can we do? Probably nothing, because if we put up a stink, the DEA gets involved, which gets his department involved. Awesome again.

On the flip side of him being accused of being a drug addict, he is probably going to be a narcotics officer sometime in the near future. So, this will mean more money for our family, most nights and weekends together and way more stress for the mama. No wonder I have so many issues.

Oh well. On a happier note, the weather has been awesome this week. And I have won almost $2 to my favorite store, Mami's and Papi's! They do giveaways all the time on their Facebook page and its so much fun. Really like a family.

Alright. Time to get off here and think about picking Roo up.

Raising my 5 Sons

Raising my 5 sons is having a giveaway for a Diapeze on her blog. If you haven't checked these diapers out, they are freakin' adorable. She does customs, too. Head on over there to see how to win and tell em I sent ya!

Stupid husband

I am so freakin' sick of things. I am sick of having to worry all the time about money. I am sick of fighting with my husband. I am sick of him doing nothing unless I leave him a note. I am sick of being the only one to do anything around the house. I am just so damn sick of it. I wish we had more money. I wish we spent less money. I wish I could figure out a way to pay stuff off and save more. I just don't know how to do it. He gets mad at me for nagging him about eating out everyday and then says I spend so much money and its not fair. Does he realize that I might spend $20 a week, where he is spending upwards of $50? And I take clothes to consignment, sell stuff on ebay and craigslist, recycle cans. I do my best to pay for my little bit of yard saleing. He doesn't. He gets mad at me cause I tell him we are broke all the time. But he doesn't understand that maybe I want some help with this. I have all the responsibility and he just does whatever. He never has to worry about money or the baby or the house. It must be nice to have someone else take care of everything. When I do try to include him, he gets mad, saying I don't tell him, I spend like crazy. I could just scream. I am so done with this.

Sorry about the rant. Had to get this off my chest.

Sick

Ugh, so I am so sorry I haven't been on here lately. We have had the flu in the house and I have been too tired taking care of everybody to type anything extra. Baby girl and hubs were both sick. Luckily, we seem to be on the mend, I just hope I don't get it.

Other than that, its nearing the end of yard sale season. On one hand, I am sad because its so much fun. On the flip side, I am so done with getting up early on Saturday and running all over town. I did find a lot of really fun stuff and completely redid my bedroom.

I have decided to sell off all of my sized diapers and just keep the one size ones. This is in preperation for the next baby, which will hopefully be concieved soon. I have a bunch listed on Ebay, now if only they would sell. My stash is still quite large, but not nearly as out of control as it was with the sized diapers.

This was not our month for concieving. I don't know why I thought we could have it happen the first month off birth control. Maybe cause BIL and SIL were able to. We just don't have enough of a matching schedule to make it work. Hopefully next month. I am finally getting the Basal Temp thing down, so maybe we can work something out.

Alright, off for now.

This week has been Free Diaper Week at Cotton Babies. Everyday they have been posting questions and the winner wins one or more of the fabulous products from Cotton Babies. Catchin' up

Wow, what a week it has been so far. This past weekend was incredibly long, and not in a good way. The drain behind my washer got clogged and flooded my kitchen. I spent most of the week fighting with it so I could avoid a call to a plumber. Thankfully, I was finally able to get it cleared Monday morning. So, then I got to catch up on laundry. First off, diapers. Turns out I have enough diapers to go more than 4 days with a toddler. Wow. I had to wash 2 seperate loads, one of covers and the other of inserts. This worked out well, though, because after sitting for almost 4 days, they stunk. I put a little bleach in with the inserts. Worked pretty good, just had to run a extra rinse.

Other than that, hubs and I are doing our best this week to make another baby. Its a little difficult due to differences in schedules, but its working out. I will let you know.

On the weight loss issue, I am down 7 pounds. Not as much as I would like, but better than nothing. And I blew it this weekend, so I don't think thats too bad. I am back on the wagon and hopefully can loose another 10 or so before we find out if all our hard work (hehe) has paid off.

Gotta run.

30 mins of Fluff

The Cloth diaper whisper is doing 30 minutes of fluff RIGHT NOW! Kawaii Diaper and a wet bag! Go now!

Chuck Wagon Races

So the hubs is over in Clinton, AR at the Chuck Wagon Races. Yes, he is that guy. He is going to be gone all week and probably return home hurt. Thats usually what happens when he goes. But, I hope he has fun and its not too hot.

Other than that, M came over Saturday and helped me to clean my house. Oh my Gosh, it took forever! We were pretty much at it for 8 hours. I still am having a hard time walking. But it looks great. And I decided that we are going to start doing "chore day". Either on Thursdays or Fridays, we are each going to have certain things that are assigned and they must be done. I am sick to death of the house being gross and me being the only one to do anything about it. I know this week it will stay clean unless I mess it up, but that isn't going to happen.

Also, we are having a yard sale Friday and Saturday. I really hope to get a lot of stuff gone. I want my garage as empty as possible, and no more boxes of stuff. I think I will go through my diapers and get rid of some, that went really well last time.

Alright, back to work.

Full Moon

So, what is it about full moons that brings out the crazies? I swear, everyone I have dealt with at work since Friday has been certifible. They are unreasonable, demanding, and generally, nuts. In my job, I have to deal with victims of crimes. They generally do not know how the justice system works. And if they do know, they know about it from being prosecuted. So, things can get interesting around here. I just don't understand how they can ask and do some of the things they do. And this is not just at work. I went to Walmart yesterday. Yes, I too am a little nuts. But there were some things I needed for dinner and that is really the only store in this area. So, I think most of the people thought it was Halloween. I mean, really? Mesh shirts? On middle aged women? Nuts, I say. We also went swimming at the lake. Now, you can always see something interesting there at the public access beach. A woman, about 55 years old, 5'6" and 250 pounds, in a string bikini. I couldn't look for more than a second or else I would have puked.

Thats all I have for today. Maybe more craziness tomorrow.

Weight lose and cloth diapers

My sister and I challenged each other to a weight loss contest last night. First one to lose 10 lbs gets a $10 gift card from the other. So, I am doing the only thing that works for me. Low carb. Now, I know that its supposed to be bad for you. But, its the only diet that works for me. Plus, I am going to try and walk everyday on my lunch break or after work. I just need to get off my fat ass and do something. I am sick of being so fat and having nothing fit right or look good. I am sick of my husband not being interested in me. I don't want to be a fat mom. So, I am doing something about it. I will keep you updated on the contest and the weight loss.

On a different note, I think that I am going to have to bleach my diaper inserts. Yikes. The smell is overwhelming. Even after running extra rinses and washes with Rockin' Green, they still stink. I guess I will work on this sometime this weekend.

Other than that, I think I may have my SIL talked into trying cloth for this next baby. I sent her home with 3 of my diapers to try out. And I have another one for her. I showed her all of mine and she was really interested. I showed her how easy they are to use and told her to call me before she washed so I could walk her through it. I told her that if I can do it, working full time, driving another 10 hours a week and doing everything else I gotta do, she absolutely can do it too. I really hope she will. She tends to have babies with really sensitive skin and it would be so much better for their skin.

Alright, getting to back to work.

Home Grown Families

So, I was checking my Facebook stuff earlier, and came across a post by Home Grown Families. I have been following this blog for a while, and its always very interesting and informative. They recently got a new contributor, which I hadn't read much from yet. Today's post is amazing. Its about how women treat other women. It really got me to thinking about how we are to each other. Women are mean. We are mean to each other. We judge each other. We pick on each other. We tear each other down. Why? To make ourselves feel better? I just don't understand that.

A little history now. Previous to my current job, I worked at a place for almost 4 years. It was a place that was occupied 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 a year. Shift work. For 3 of my 4 years, I was on midnight shift. It was generally fine. We were all too tired to cause problems with each other. Then, after Roo was born, I moved to a day shift position. Que in the problems. All the women who worked day shift were so worried about getting ahead, looking good, and whatever else, they tried to get others in trouble. Wow. I went from never being in trouble, to it being an everyday occurance. Granted, I was burnt out. But, I really think it had more to do with who I was working with than the job. I loved the job. But the people caused me to come home daily crying. I am not a crier. I am strong. I am smart. But they did it. Especially one woman. I honestly feel like she was indimidated by me and so she wanted me out. It worked. I finished my shift, and sent her an email and walked out. I hate myself for that, but really couldn't see another way.

But this is what happens with women. Why must we be so nasty to each other? If we would just support each other, and help each other, wouldn't things be better? I think so. I have been trying my best to change how I talk to other women. I make sure to tell other women they look nice. Did you loose weight? Your hair looks great. Offer to help them. Whatever I can do. I hope that other women will catch a hint and treat me the same way.

Same old, same old

So, I haven't been on here all weekend. Just got really busy. M, Roo and I went yard saleing Saturday. I did pretty good, only spent $15. Then, Roo and I came home and she took a nap and I cleaned. Ugh. For 3 hours. But my house looked beautiful. And my friends came over for dinner and we had a fabulous time. Just talking and laughing and being together. Then, Sunday was lazy day. Roo and I got up, ate breakfast, played, took and 3 hour nap and made dinner. It was great.

So, you all know I have been switching to Cloth Diapers. That is great. Roo can have a small rash and after 2 days, its gone. No creams, just cotton and microfibers. I have also been trying to cut down on my personal uses too. I got the Diva Cup and some mama cloth. Now, if you haven't heard of the Diva Cup, you need to look it up. It is wonderful. It goes inside, like a tampon, but doesn't absorb. It catches. So no Toxic Shock Syndrome. It takes a little to get used to, but I already noticed a difference in the severity of Aunt Flow. And the mama cloth is also great. I have some issues down there that plastic and paper can make worse, and the cotton doesn't. Its so easy to use, just throw it in with my diapers. And it feels so much better with this terrible heat we have been having. I think that M and I are going to try to make some of our own this fall.

Other than that, we have decided to try for another baby. I am officially not taking birth control, but we will see how long it takes. I have been taking my Basil Temperature every morning, so I am really hoping it will only take a couple of months.

Alright, almost bedtime. Night all

General Stuff

Well, I made past my 3 month probationary period at my new job. Yay me! I guess I am good to go unless I do something illegal. I am also qualified for insurance, which is great, since B and I discussed it and we are done with birth control. We are going to ttc #2! I just hope it doesn't take as long as it did with Roo.

My SIL had approached me with a question about cloth diapers. I did a bunch of research and was hoping to meet with her on Saturday but it didn't happen. So I sent her an assignment on Facebook and told her to get back to me. I just wish she would hurry up! I am so excited that she is even kind of considering it. I think it would be a great thing for her to do, because her daughter has the most sensitive skin ever. I am sure the next one will be sensitive too.

Other than that, I went to the casino Friday night with M. She had won tickets to a concert. We decided we were not going to stand out in the parking lot in 100 degree heat for hours, so we stayed inside. I won $400!! Yay me!! I am being pretty good and putting most of it into checking but I am getting a massage and buying B some new jeans.

Fluff Envy

Fluff Envy is giving away an Applecheeks bundle on her blog! I have been dying to try Applecheeks because you don't have to take the inserts out. They come out in the wash. No more touching yucky inserts. So go on over there to www.fluffenvy.blogspot.com and enter! Tell Justine I sent you!

SIL is preggers!

I am very excited (and a little jealous). My SIL is pregnant with #2! She sent me a message over Facebook yesterday asking me about cloth diapers. I am so excited she is interested. I am going to load most of mine up Saturday and show her when I pick Roo up. I am trying to think of everything I have learned these past 6 or so months and what I would do different if it were up to me. I have been taking notes, doing research and looking at everything. I just hope that I can sell her on it.

I am also hoping that since they are preggers, B will accept starting to try for number 2. I so want to be pregnant one more time. I don't feel like our family is complete unless we at least try for another child. Plus, I have been saving all of Roo's clothes and it seems like a waste of space if we don't have another kiddo.

Tuesday, July 27, 2010

Day to Day stuff.

I can not get woke up today. I am still sick and now Roo is too. B said his throat hurt last night, so I am sure he is getting sick too. Ugh, I can't wait for this to be done.

On a brighter note, I got fluffy mail yesterday! I had ordered some new hemp inserts, a new wetbag and a sample of Rockin Green in hard rock. I also used a code for a free diaper and got a Happy Heiny in Sage. I love these diapers. Got it washed and it was drying when I went to bed. I have another order pending with a BumGenius 4.0 and some more inserts. I should get another free diaper then and I can't wait! I really hope its something we hadn't tried yet. I really have a problem with diapers. I think I need to have another baby to justify all of them. Now I just need to convince B that we should start TTC#2. Hehe.

Also, M and I are going to try amber jewelry for our aches and pains. I have been reading about how good it is for teething babies and how it helps with all sorts of other ailments and immediatly thought of M with her psorisis. Another all natural she is game to try. I figure if the necklace doesn't nothing for me, B can try it for his migraines or Roo can try it for teething. Good deal all around.

Okay, gotta run. Gonna try "rockin a soak" tonight using my new hard rock. I will take pictures.

Still Sick

So, I am still sick. And its not because I haven't been taking care of myself. I totally have. I took 2 naps yesterday, one of which was like 3 hours long. I have been drinking lots of fluids and trying to eat well. So this morning, on our way to work and daycare, Roo had "the cough". Yup, pretty sure she is getting sick too. Great news. I guess its time to get the lysol back out and be a freak about it. But it gives me such a headache when I am sick that I hate spraying it. But I know that since I have been sick, Roo is getting sick, that B will be sick by this time next week. Which means, he is sicker than anyone has ever been in the history of the world. Not exaggerating at all. Just when I get to feeling better, he will be flat on his back and I will have to take care of him. I hate being sick.

So, thats really all I have. I didn't do jack this weekend except laundry. I didn't go anywhere. It sucked. Yay me.

Thursday, July 22, 2010

I hate being sick. I hate not having the energy to play with Roo before she goes to bed. I hate not having patience with her because I don't feel well. I hate having to tell her no, I can't do that right now. Its just a cold and I will be over it soon, but until I am over it, I feel like a terrible mother. I know that I am not, but still. I hate being sick.

On a happier note, I found a lady on Craigslist that was selling diapers for dirt cheap. 5 Bum Genius 3.0's, 1 Bum Genius Large AIO, 1 Fuzzibunz, 1 Happy Heiny and 1 Rumparooz. All for $80 shipped! I am so excited! She did say they needed to be stripped, but I have on order some Rockin' Green Hard Rock. So that is probably what I will be doing in the evenings this weekend. Then the Bum Genius are going up for sale. I don't like the hook and loop, so I am hoping to make a little money off them.

I also have enroute to my house a new Bum Genius 4.0 with snaps! I am so excited to try it. The hook and loop was the main reason I didn't like Bum Genius. I am hoping with the snaps I will love them.

Okay, time to sign off.

Selling Gold

So M is bringing some gold in for me to sell today. I am dying to know how much it is worth. While I am waiting, I have been shopping. What for? you ask. Diapers! I have a custom BottomBumpers from Little Squigglers picked out. Thinking yellow dipe with "my daddy my hero" embrodered. Yes, I am still trying to get him on board with this and that way, if we start ttc #2, we have a good stash built up.

I will update when we find out how much we are getting.

Otherwise, rocked another soak last night. Not really impressed. Stains were lighter, but not gone and water was cloudy but nothing outrageous. I am going to try this weekend with some towels or B's uniform.

Alright, I think lunch is done.

Tuesday, July 13, 2010

Rockin Green

So I finally ordered some Rockin Green in Lavender Mint Revival. It arrived last night. I was so excited to "rock a soak". I got all my dipes in the bathtub and filled with hot water and several tablespoons of Rockin Green. I left them for about 2 hours. I was so excited to see what came out of my diapers.

Fast forward to several hours later. Water is still clear. Hum. I am wondering what is going on. I empty the tub and put more hot water in. Leave it for about 30 minutes.

Fast forward again. Still clear. Odd. I transferred the diapers to the washing machine. Ran through my normal routine and put them in the dryer. Well, put the inserts and AIO's in, the covers, I hung. They smelled clean, which is good, but I didn't get the nasty water like the pictures all show. I wonder if I left it long enough? I am going to try again, but maybe only use a few diapers instead of my entire stash.

Alright, time to go.

Hubby gone

So the hubby is gone camping this week with friends from work. I don't know why I am missing him so much, I don't really get to see him during the week (or the weekend, truth be told), but I am. Maybe its because I get a break from getting up at 6 at least one day during the week, cause I get to leave Roo at home with him. Maybe its just worry about what exactly is going to go on out there. I don't know. But I miss him terrible. And I know he is going to be tired when he gets home, so no work out of him. And next week on 2 of his days off, he will be in Little Rock for a class. So basically, I get to see him a week from Saturday, if I am lucky. Great. And he wonders why I am so stressed out all of the time.

Oh, well. Back to work.

Home Grown Families and Planet Wise

Planet wise is a great company that makes beautiful wet bags for cloth diapers. Home Grown Families is giving away one of their bags. They have so many beautiful prints, it would be difficult to pick one. Go over there and check them out.

Home Grown Families

If you like Rockin' Green, or want to try it, head over to Home Grown Families. They are having a giveaway of this amazing stuff. I have used it a little, and wow. It really is amazing. Plus, you can use it for everything. They have great scents. Go check it out.

Busy weekend

Wow, did that weekend go by quick! Yard saleing Saturday, followed by the lake. Sunday, the inlaws came up for Roo's swim lesson. What fun! And then Grandma, Roo and I went shopping. Had to return a gift from Old Navy and hit the best sale ever! 30% off everything in the store. Yikes! Didn't go nuts, which was good. Spent a little more than needed, but I really did need everything.

So, Friday, I got my box of Crunchy Clean for diapers. Yum! Smells awesome. Washed some dipes in it and no stinkys. Yay! I am so happy. I think this is the solution. I will keep you updated.

Another giveaway to talk about. Home Grown Families is giving away a Bum Essentials in choice of color! So cute! You have got to check it out. These diapers look amazing! She did a review and said how soft they are. Go enter and tell them I sent you!

Hadn't been able to post

So, I have been so busy this week and hadn't been able to post. We had a jury trial Monday and Tuesday and were out of the office. Wednesday was catchup and Thursday I had people in and out of the office all day. So I am finally back!

Anyways, I still have not won a contest but its not for lack of trying. I am an entering fool! The latest one is on Cloth Diaper Blog and is for 2 Knickernappies and choice of insert. These are cool looking diapers, with side snaps. Go take a look and tell them I sent you!

Also, I have been fighting some stinky with my diapers this week. I am awaiting a bag of Crunchy Clean and some RLR, and in the meantime, I am washing in Dawn and Vinegar. It is taking forever! I am hoping to lay them outside for a while this weekend, cause I also have some stains. Extra yuck. Wish me luck.

Court

Today I went to court to be with one of my clients. I showed up at 1 pm, like I told her I would. I had told her to be there then, and we would go over what she could expect. At 1:25, I finally sat down in the court room. She was called 3 times and her protection order was dismissed due to fail to appear. She finally showed up aroun 1:50 and couldn't understand what happened. She blamed everything on her mom, who was her ride. I know she wanted this order to be permenent, I just can't understand why she wouldn't try harder to be to court on time. I should have known this would happen, though, because she has missed other appointments and is kind of flighty. I am so disappointed. In her being late, in the way she talked to her mother. I wanted her to be more on top of this, since she was violated. I guess I am just mad because I so wanted her to get this approved. I wanted to see her stand up to him in open court. I wanted her to feel in charge for a moment. Ugh. I just hope he isn't stupid and threatens or hurts her.

I have another one coming up on Friday. I hope it goes better.

Missing the girl

Well, my sweet girl isn't home tonight. She went to spend a couple of nights with MawMaw and PawPaw. Gosh, I miss her so much! I never would have thought I would before she was born, but now I can't hardly stand for her to be gone. I tried to keep busy, but without my little distraction, I have gotten way more done and am now bored.

Since she was gone, I got a bottle of wine to enjoy with my chores. Did laundry, dishes, made dinner for tomorrow, played with the dogs. Ugh, I hate it when she is gone! I am so glad she will be home tomorrow. How does someone so little make up such a big part of our lives?

Also, I took the time to enter another giveaway. I have a terrible problem. I think it will become worse if I actually win something. But it is so much fun to enter! You get to review websites, look at diapers, and think of how you could use the item. I love it!

Alright, I am going to take my somewhat intox butt to bed. Good night all!
So I have a big problem. I love entering giveaways! I have been an entering fool on the cloth diaper blogsites.

My newest one is on 29 diapers. They are giving away Thirsties Wipes and Booty Luster. I have been using cloth wipes a little, but I have been making my own solution. I love the idea of a light scent.

Anways, go check it out!

Hot Weather

So, down here in the South, it gets hot. And it usually gets really hot, really early. Which is fine, we all have air conditioning. It sucks to turn it on, cause the electric bill goes up, but you can't live without it. When I walked into the office today, it seemed a little warm. Monday morning, I figured it was turned up for the weekend. Nope, air is out. Oh my gosh. Its kind of a cooler day, only supposed to be in the mid 80's. I am totally dying. I am sitting in front of a fan that was loaned to me with my window open, trying to catch a breeze. Plus, I am competely sunburned. What was I thinking? I went to the pool yesterday and I guess I thought since it was late afternoon, I didn't need sunscreen. Nope, totally fried. I couldn't even where a bra today. I am kind of a idiot.

Moral of this sad tail: Sunscreen! Fans! A/C! All blessings from God.

Follower!!

I am so excited. I have a follower! I don't know if anyone else will find my ramblings interesting, but I am so EXCITED!

Steph-I checked out your blog and love it! It made me think and be very greatful for my wonderful blessings. Thank you!

Yard Sales

M and I and Monkey went yard saleing today. I can't believe the deals you can get at yard sales! At one sale, I got 4 or 5 pairs of dress pants, a pair of dress capris, and a pair of Levis for $4. Plus a thing of brand new baby lotion and a insulated bottle. Amazing. Plus, I tried everything on when I got home and it all fit! The pair of capris may go to consignment because they are really low rise and just may be too young. But we will see. At another sale, I got a Walmart sack full of baby boy cloths, 2 crib sheets, a crib mattress cover, 3 nice shirts for B and a pair of Robeez for my friend for $7! This was a great day. Earlier in the day, I bought a little kitchen set for Monkey, for $5! Its a two piece one and needs to be cleaned, but she won't care about that. So excited.

I love hitting yard sales. I may have a problem. Its all I want to do on the weekends. It may be time to find a self help group.

"Hello, my name is Lacey and I am addicted to Yard Sales."

Birthday

So today is my birthday. I am having a really hard time dealing with it. I hate this time of year and no matter what I do, I am in a bad mood and really irritable. I am trying to fight it, but it seems to be a loosing battle.

Anyways, we had a fun little visitor last night. I let the dogs out about 10 and when I let them back in, I noticed Baylee the lab kind of stop at the door. Very wierd, so I looked a little closer and noticed something move. Kind of freaked out, I turned on the light. It was a huge toad inside the house! I captured him and let him out the front door, after taking a few pictures of him for Facebook. Not what I expected, but fun.

Anyways, going for now. God Bless.

Pampers

Has anyone seen or heard about the info Pampers has recently put out stating that disposables are better for babies that cloth? What a load of crap. There is a thing going on right now about how the newest Pampers are causing babies to have chemical burns and all sorts of other problems. I have never heard of cotton causing this. Yeah, sometimes the detergent used can cause problems, but washing with more water usually takes care of it. We only use cloth part time (mostly at daycare and when Daddy is in charge), but I am done buying Pampers. I didn't really like the way they felt anyways and this is a great reason to make the switch back to Huggies.

I stripped my pockets last night. We had a little bit of repelling on the Haute Pockets and some smell residue, so I threw them all in with a little Dawn and ran 2 Whitest Whites, 2 Quick Washes on hot with extra rinse. I put the AIO's and inserts in the dryer this morning and they smelled wonderful. No smell really to them at all. I think we will be ready to go again for the weekend.

I am finding the more I cloth Diaper my monkey, the more diapers and kids I want. I hadn't talked to the hubby yet, but I am dying for another. And I can't stop buying them. Has anyone seen this website www.babyhalfoff.com ? Awesome! They run one deal a day, and the items are at least half off. They just ran a Dream-eze AIO sale for $10.50 each! Thankfully, they were out of our size in one of the colors, so I only ordered 2. Yesterday, they ran a sale on squeaker shoes. I had to get a pair for Monkey and her cousin. So cute! And only $9.99!

Okay, better go. Blessed day to you all!

Holiday Weekends

Happy belated Memorial Day! It was a good weekend, but needed to be longer. As usual. Got to spend all 3 days with baby girl. We tried to use the potty, but she is just not ready yet. We will try again next month.

This holiday weekend marked the 3rd anniversary of my father's death. It was harder this year, I think, than in years past. Maybe because Roo is getting so big and he is missing everything. I don't really know. I had a good cry and remembered good things about him.

On a plus side, I was able to cloth diaper all weekend! Roo only one disposable when Daddy changed her and 2 swim diapers. We even wore cloth to the the lake. And oh boy, what an adventure that was. Some people were commenting on her diaper and how gross it was to let kids swim in diapers. Unfortunatly I didn't hear it. I was in enough of a rough place, I would have let her have it. Probably a good thing, because then my husband would have had to arrest me for disorderly conduct.

Anyways, thanks to all the Veterans and those serving. I appreciate it all.

Selling Fluff

I am selling off some of my fluff tonight! In my quest to find the *perfect* diapering system, I bought a lot of stuff that either wasn't right for us, didn't fit or we didn't like. So I am doing my best to sell it off to other Crunchy Mamas in my area. Whenever I sell some of my fluff, I try to education the mamas on things I have learned about. Sometimes, though, they teach me. I love it.

The problem tonight is that I am meeting Daddy, not mama. I hope he is crunchy but am a little concerned. He didn't want to buy my cloth diaper lot because it was "too girly". Granted, there are several inserts that are pink and 3 covers that are pink, but mostly everything I have bought has been neutral. I don't want a future son in pink! I don't know what changed their minds, but I had hoped to talk to Mama about it. Oh well. At least I am selling all of it. They are getting a great deal, too, even with girly prints. And with this money, I will pay for the new fluff I should be getting in the mail this week and in a couple weeks. This is addicting!

Wash Routine

So I *think* I finally have my cloth diaper wash routine down. We have no smells, no leaks and no repelling. I bought new Whirlpool Duet front loader washer and dryer after Roo was born because my old top loaders died. Love them for regular clothes, but it has been interesting to figure out how to wash my fluff.

I start with a cold rinse/spin to get yuckies out. Then I run "whitest whites" (which, for my washer is the hottest cycle with the most water) with a small amount of detergent. I am trying out new ones right now, currently using Allen's. More about that later. Then I run a quick wash with hot water. If I don't see any bubbles, I hang my pockets up and dry my AIO's and inserts on medium. If I see bubbles, I run another quick wash with hot water. If there are STILL bubbles, I run another cold rinse/spin. That usually takes care of it. Sometimes I will add a little white vinegar to the rinse cycle to cut smells.

If I need to strip them (not very often), I do all of this, but with Dawn and maybe a touch of bleach. I usually add a couple of extra rinses, mostly hot.

So, I ordered a trial thing of cloth diaper safe soaps a while back. I tried the Rockin Green first because I had heard so many good things about it. Loved it! It was clear after the quick wash cycle, so there was no need for another rinse. I am now using Allen's. Not very impressed. I have had to run at least 2 extra quick wash cycles and once an additional cold rinse/spin. I don't know if I am adding too much or its just hard to rinse out, but I am not really impressed. I think I have enough left of it for 2 more loads, and then onto the next trial. I think I have tiny bubbles and Charlies left.

That's it for now. God Bless

First Day

So I keep reading everyone else's blogs and thought I would give it a try. Hello World! I am a 28 year old mother of one amazing daughter. I am married to an incredible man who refuses to "go green". We started cloth diapering when the monkey was about 14 months old due to a terrible diaper rash. I am now doing it part time and love it! I have learned a lot on this adventure.

Let's see how this goes!
